Gallery Weekend | 20-22 September

Inspired by the upcoming exhibition Asian Bronzes in the Rijksmuseum, bronzes will also be the subject of our September gallery weekend. We will be showcasing an interesting collection of Chinese and Japanese bronzes, for you to come and admire in person, as well as our collection of Chinese porcelain.

Walk & Talk 
On Saturday and Sunday at 3pm we will host a Walk & Talk around the gallery discussing the bronze objects, the material, its uses and production techniques. To join the talk please register via info@vanderven.com.

Visit Studio van der Wielen 
During our open weekend, you will also have the opportunity to meet our newest resident Roy van der Wielen – who moved his restoration studio into our garden pavilion last month. Roy is specialised in the restoration of glass, ceramic, stoneware, earthenware and terracotta artworks.
Throughout the weekend he will be open to visit from 13:00 - 16:00 and provide a behind the scenes view of art conservation.
